My Previous Career (Yes, I am in a Hall of Fame)

I started at M&S Computing on January 3rd, 1980 (My 20th Birthday)

I worked in the CAD / CAM / Plotting / Contractor / Manufacturing / ReproGraphics World for 30 years.

I am so old the Intergraph.com website is gone. I found it:

I made some great friends at Intergraph, all over the world, and am still friends with some on Facebook today. It was an awesome place to work – I mean, it DID invent the Pentium Chip!

I was blessed to go to the top of the US Steel Building in Pittsburgh. I have been to Everett, Washington and watched a 747 being built, Stuttgart, Germany to watch a Porsche 944 made and Kettering, Ohio to watch Delco-Remy make a spark plug. I have been from the City of Helsinki (a customer) to Plaquemine, Louisiana (DOW Chemical). From Pau, (the south of France for TOTAL to Rochester, NY (Kodak). I have been to a Ford plant in Wayne, Michigan, an Engineering firm in Pittsfield, Maine, Krebs Hydrocarbon in Paris, France and Basil Engineering in Athens, Greece, Iuku, Mississippi to help with the boosters for the Space Shuttle and Derby, England, to help British Rail. Our daughter was born in Haarlem, The Netherlands. For a kid from a Cotton Mill Village with no college degree, it was a pretty good career.
